Mainfreight Epping

Edison Consultants were engaged through Cardno to provide the mechanical, electrical and specialty design engineering services for the new Mainfreight Warehouse & Distribution Centre at Epping, Victoria.

Comprising of two main areas; the new freight and logistics buildings with a connecting breezeway roof structure, the buildings are more than 36,000m2 internally with administration offices adjacent to both the freight and logistics buildings

We provided the following services:

  • Mechanical: Air-conditioning and ventilation design. BMS throughout the facility with energy and water monitoring capabilities
  • Electrical: Lighting, power, comms and security services
  • Refrigeration: New refrigeration coolroom for luxury items
  • Vertical Transport

Stage 2 comprises an additional 23,000m2 logistics warehouse on a separate allotment with dangerous goods bunkers and refrigerated storage.
